Cool idea, should be higher

The concept is solid, the price is right and the benefits are hard to argue with. The spindle is the true measure of how horizontal a platter is, as virtually everything radiates outward from it, making it the perfect measuring point. The only problem with some turntables is that the spindle is too tall for that small washer. You need to make sure it is laying flat on the record or preferably the turntable platter mat and not wobbling on the tip of the spindle when checking the level. As…

Looks beautiful. But it's not the exact tool for my .

I seem to be having the same problem as reviewer Robert Virginia below. When used with my Technics SL-1200, the bubble changed position as I turned the spirit level on the spindle and held the disc stationary. If you rotate the plate and level it at the same time, the bubble will rotate with you. Normally you would expect the bubble to stay in place, indicating an uneven surface. nope Perhaps the bubble level is not plumb in its body and/or the acrylic disk holding the level insert is not flat…
