Good price but two of them

The Revain actually has two different speakers that look almost the same. Both are good for the price but different. One has solid black wire with a single shield. The other has a twin wire (connected together) with a white stripe on one of the two wires. The wire with the white stripe looks more like a full-range speaker. Solid black cable with pronounced treble boost. Depending on your hearing and where you put it, you'll probably be better off with one or the other. To me, a solid blackโ€ฆ

Great Guys - Speakers

I always wait a bit before criticizing things like this. I need them to prove durability. This little speaker has turned out so well that I'm ordering a second one. for my radio station. There's no mute button or that tinny sound you sometimes hear from external speakers. The older one never had that vibrating noise, which I had with more expensive speakers a year later. The feel and construction are durable and the mounting bracket holds the speaker securely. This is a great addition to anyโ€ฆ

I really liked this speaker

I really like everything about this speaker. except the sound. First I hooked it up to an old scanner indoors, it was easy to blame the source for the mediocre sound, but I recently installed it in my car and hooked it up to my Yaesu FT-7800, and besides, it fits in well with the place i chose him, the speaker costs almost nothing. I'll admit that the acoustics of the place are probably far from perfect, but this speaker is really underwhelming. The sound is lifeless and "muddy"; It's almostโ€ฆ

Nice simple mono speaker

I have a Kenwood dual band ham radio which means you can hear two different frequencies at the same time. The internal speaker is pretty good, but unless you're looking at the radio, and in some cases even when you're looking at it, you can't tell what frequency you're listening to. If only one is receiving you can tell from the display, but if both are being received at the same time you will hear both transmissions. Being a bit stupid, I installed one speaker on the left and the other on theโ€ฆ

A fairly efficient speaker that is very loud with only 2 watts of sound.

It was installed in the Jeep Wrangler via the radio's 2W auxiliary audio output. The speaker is not powered and is only controlled by the audio input. internal radio speaker. The maximum volume of 2 watts was uncomfortably loud, which means that the speaker has sufficient efficiency. I don't know, but the Jeep Wrangler has a lot of wind noise!). The cable is 6 feet long and ends with a 3.5mm mono plug. It comes with 2 self-tapping screws to attach the speaker to its pivot bracket through theโ€ฆ

Don't believe the ads. It's not as good as the reviews say.

I bought four of these speakers based on positive reviews but I have to believe the positive reviewers have never used a quality external speaker in their radios. I've tested one on the SDS100 and SDS200 to see if they are stewards and I'm not thrilled. With the SDS100, the sound was quieter than with the built-in speaker. This is certainly due to the fact that the output is for headphones and a amplifying speaker is really required for use with any walkie-talkie, but I really didn't buy themโ€ฆ

Sounds great for a transceiver monitor.

I have an Icom 2820H ham radio with the main unit mounted behind the seat of my Grand Cherokee. You can hear the tone of it, but there were times when it was difficult to understand what the point was. I wanted an offset speaker up front, but there just aren't many good spots on this car where it doesn't stick out or get in the way. There is a small hole on the underside of the front instrument panel, right next to the factory USB/aux ports. It's difficult to fit anything other than this smallโ€ฆ
