Excellent welding aid

I recently purchased a pre-tinning solution for my automotive welding needs. When I tried this product, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to use and the excellent results it produced... The tin coating made my welding tasks a breeze, and I felt confident that my welds would hold up to the rigors of automotive use. The only downside was that the product ran out quicker than I anticipated. Overall, i am very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend it to other automotive…

Pros
  • Easy to use and apply.
Cons
  • May require frequent reapplication for consistent results.

Pros
  • Excellent consistency for pre-tinning, makes welding smoother, improves the final outcome.
Cons
  • There are no cons to this product that I have come across.

Works better than what I've used in the past

I used it to solder copper pipe and fittings when installing a new water heater. I'm not a pro and I usually have at least one leaky solder joint when doing plumbing work. But not at this point. Differences? Flow. I've previously had materials like Oatey #5. Always seemed fussy as the solder often didn't extend completely around the entire perimeter of the joint. I had no such problems with this Rectorseal flux. All connections are completely soldered the first time. No leaky joints this time!

Pros
  • Solder and Flux
Cons
  • Slightly torn
