It no longer matters which way the wind is blowing

This review is specific to the stainless steel version of the 4 inch door latches. They are amazing. Use the kit on each of my barn doors to keep them open. A must have on windy or windy days. Ordered them in stainless steel to replace a cheaper set that had been zinc plated and badly rusted for about 4 years. A word of caution about stainless steel. They came with no screws so you'll need yours.

Beautifully made, great quality and finish

Beautifully made, great quality and finish. The only problem I have is the angle. I replaced the plastic that broke and it was a bit shorter and more flexible so I had to bend the latch on this one to get them to line up. But it works fine. It's not the fault of the detail, just a different style than the original, but this one is much better and won't break like the plastic ones.

After drilling out the old rivets and removing the old sealant, I masked and patched the three holes with JBWeld strokes and re-drilled them. I used 3/16" and 1/4" rivets with some silicone sealant to install the new latch. Please note that the old plastic stick is
