Superior Subaru Cvt Fluid Change

CVTs are notoriously unreliable. When I saw the red line turn into a flowing "L," I knew it could be trusted. I used it to service my 100,000 mile Subaru Cvt and have driven 6000 miles since then. After reaching the operating temperature, it is quiet and "switches" smoothly. From now on I plan to service the Cvt with this fluid every 30,000 miles.

Do not use in your Nissan

I can only speak from experience. My CVT started making noise and I changed the fluid and filter. I drew it in red and my transmission got 100x worse and shifted horribly. I bought some Nissan fluid and made another change. It sounded MUCH better but still didn't shift well than the transcode did. I did another fluid change with Nissan fluid and still bad. I'm not sure if Redline hastened the destruction of my CVT, but if you heard it after I topped up the Nissan fluid, you'd think it happened.

I've always had good experiences with Redline

Overall, I've found Redline transmission fluids to work well in extreme cold and heat. In an old 4L60E that slid a little until the fluid warmed up, I drained and filled with D4 and never again had a cold slip problem in that car. Based on that experience, I decided to try it on a Nissan with 130,000 miles on the CVT. Nissan extended the warranty on these CVTs to 120,000 because they are notoriously junk and prone to belt slippage. I've drained and refilled a 100k Valvoline CVT (I usually liked
