🦁 Red Lion 14942405 Stainless Steel Submersible Deep Well Pump with Control Box, 1/2-HP 12-GPM 3-Wire 230-Volt Review

Died (grounded) after three years of use, very disappointed. The cables are good but the pump is bad. I hate wasting money drilling a well because of a broken pump. The date code was 13M22 so I'm assuming it was taken on May 22, 2013. Definitely not a product to invest in people.

Paid almost $700 and purchased a trusted Red Lion brand. It was launched only 4130 times in 4 years and 4 months. On Saturday it blocked and started disconnecting the controller from overcurrent. All windings are well tested. I pulled the pump out and the impellers broke free and jammed the pump. Worked great at 8am, died at 11am. This time I won't be returning with the Red Lion.

I ordered a 3/4 HP Red Lion pump. and controller, but the pump arrived without a controller. I called support about a missing controller. Got a spare regulator for the 3/4 hp pump. The pump broke down over the 4th of July holiday and I had to buy another pump locally because I couldn't go without water for 5 days while waiting for them to send me another pump. The manufacturer then automatically offers a two-year warranty (or an optional three-year warranty extension).
