I would definitely buy the game, but maracas are huge and make accuracy and timing difficult. I would stick with controllers.

Great accessory! I play a lot of Samba De Amigo and this was so much more fun! although I have to admit that sometimes he doesn't read a few of my moves, but that doesn't concern me. Samba De Amigo is a lot of fun. Great soundtracks and the graphics are pretty cool. Maracas are not that good! Nunchaku Control Fit sucks, very bad design. I owned these maracas controllers for 30 minutes before I started researching how to get a refund. Maracas, nunchakus are always in danger of slipping. There are caps on the end that look like they're meant to relay a signal from the wiimote, but it barely works, meaning you have to slide the wiimote in and out of the maraca to navigate the on-screen menus. So I tried it last night. You are terrible. You cannot play with them on the Wii Mote. First, the pointer only moves halfway up/down the screen when inserted into the maracas. Second, even if you pull it out, indicate where you want to go and start playing, it just won't work. Over 75% of all attempts by me and my wife to use maracas fail. We bought these because we thought our 3 year old (and us of course) would love how they would enhance the Samba De Amigo gameplay. Firstly, we love the game of samba and would recommend it to adults and children alike, but these maracas are not suitable for two reasons. First, they are pretty heavy.
