Poor delivery in aquarium water treatment

Prepare another container to save your salt. The thin plastic buckets used are not available! I hope the salt itself lives up to my expectations.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • boring packaging

Absolutely unacceptable! My item arrived broken, the lid was off and the salt bag spilled into the box. Terrible! The lid doesn't even fit on the box! I hope I have the right item and salt because if not it will kill all my coral and you, Revane, will pay for it! ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great product, crappy shipping

I only gave it 3 stars due to shipping issues. When I received the item the box was fine but the bucket was completely broken. This resulted in about 1/4 of the salt spilling everywhere. I've been using Red Sea salt since I got a saltwater pool a few years ago. So far it's working great and I'm keeping a mixed riff with no SPS. I would recommend this brand but will probably not order online again.

Pros
  • Few competitors

  • Upgradable

Excellent aquarium water treatment salt

I use red sea salt all the time, I use it for my aquarium. I have no problems with the product, my problems are related to the packaging or the delivery service. The container is cracked, and if the salt has a chance to pull some moisture out of the air, it will turn into a hard brick. I was able to break up the salt and put it in another container I had, but that defeats the purpose of ordering it in its own airtight container.

Pros
  • All right!

Arrived safely: fish & aquatic animals

Less than I thought. The instructions aren't clear, but I mixed salt with R/O water until 24/25. Unfortunately, my anemone went berserk and I think she's dying now. Arrived the next day. I read the reviews and unlike others the container is in good condition and the salt is packed in a plastic bag. Unfortunately it was only put in the box with my book and other stuff and I was glad it didn't open and ruin my other stuff. It really should be packed with something to protect him and other thingsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Frequency

can't keep salinity at 1.024

I mixed a 5 gallon bucket and got over 1.025 in bucket the first day. Then do a water change (with a water test as a result of the increasing water change and it could be 1.020 in the tank. The next few days I will check the salinity in the tank and it will be 1.018. After 2 days, mix another bucket of water to drain and add a new one the cycle keeps repeating so not sure if this is a great product as I don't want to add RO to the aquarium as I want to increase the salinity to 1.024 and thereโ€ฆ

Pros
  • very impressive
Cons
  • some errors

For the last 8 months I have been buying pre-mixed saltwater from my local fish store. My corals were *normal* but not great. When the fish shop closed for a few months due to a fire, I decided to mix my own salt water with this stuff. In one night it made a HUGE difference in the number of polpis that opened and how far they spread. After a month my Zoas are starting to take on a lot more color and my mushrooms have grown in size from a dime sized crumpled disk to half a dollar sized. I'm also

Switching to Red Sea caused immediate changes in my aquarium

I've been using Instant Ocean Reef Crystals for several years and have always had good results. I needed to buy more salt for a water change and my chilled colleague suggested Red Sea Coral Pro Salt. It's a bit pricey but he loved it so I decided to give it a try. It has been in my tank for less than a week but the difference from my previous salt is amazing. 1) Instant Ocean takes about 4 hours to dissolve after mixing. The Red Sea took about 30 minutes. 2) I mixed Red Sea into the same recipe

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • little things

Great salt. Read Review

I have been in this hobby since 1988. During that time I have used at least a dozen salts and have never written a review. I love this hobby and want to offer the best possible environment.
