Looks best on wet

After reading the reviews I decided to try it but when I received it I saw the composition and it has a lot of chemistry. I decided to try it anyway, but when I cut it open it smelled awful. I thought maybe it was me so I offered it to my dog, he sniffed it and sat up and looked at me. No dog would eat it. I usually feed them Albertsons Fresh Pet chopsticks and they love it and they don't even touch it and I didn't want to go to the store.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Hard to say

So versatile: food

Really great product and so versatile. It can be used as a staple food for your dog or crumbled like I do with his dry chunks. Also great for training treats if you simply cut them into small cubes. My dog loves these treats, as do a few of his pals that we see on our walks every day. There was no way I could stop using it as he would be on strike for food and treats. Two things he did before I started tempting him with the red barn.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Dry Crispy NOT good for training Treats

This is my first time ordering a bun from Redbarn. I will not order again. I cut everything at once a few days after I received it. The Redbarn bun on the other end was dry and flaky to very dry and crumbly. This image shows the crumbly remains of small RedBarn cubes after a few minutes in a treat bag next to Natural Balance cubes rattling around in a treat bag that I toss in the fridge between workouts. Honestly my dogs seem to really like the taste but I won't be buying it again. I follow…

My dog loves them for wet

I've been feeding my dog a different brand of buns for about 7 years. Since he's very picky about his food, I never tried anything else, assuming he wouldn't like it. Then a few months ago I decided to try the Redbarn Food Roll. He loves to! Definitely his favorite bread roll. Not only do I give him a muffin for dinner as is, I also make him some snacks (aka "dog chips") that are easy to travel with (see picture). For the "chips," cut the roll in half lengthwise, then slice into 1/16 to 1/8…

dogs love it! And

As a professional dog trainer (dogs and their owners - dogs are easier to train than most owners lol_) I use Red Barn Buns as treats during training and as food for one of my dogs. Dog-dogs love it! And one of my dogs cannot eat due to allergies. You can then refrigerate or freeze it. Great for rolling up and using in a food fight with your friends! As for the price - about $9 for 4 pounds - that's a pretty decent deal considering how much you normally pay for a small bag of dog treats (check…

RedBarn Buns are great!

Our dog loves it. I cut it up into small cubes and we mainly use it for treats, but it also makes a good meal replacement when we run out. We only have a small Chihuahua and a 4 pound chunk will last for several months. I cut everything up and keep it in little plastic containers. We keep one in the fridge, the rest in the freezer. When the container in the fridge is empty, I grab a new one from the freezer and that's it. Please note that I have seen some negative reviews indicating that some…

Puppy Training Click

Yes we call it a crack because dogs tend to go crazy when I use them. I use it as a valuable training treat. I had to put them on the older dog because he couldn't concentrate or listen to anything until the food came. So he'll only get them if we work on the basics. The puppy doesn't care what you have as long as it's food. So take care of the training. I'm just using treats to convey the concept. Once they become reliable with treats, we take the treats away. You get the idea. You know what…

I want to eat it myself

Wow, I can't believe I finally found something that my super picky Jack Russell/Dachshund mix will eat. Like another reviewer's dog, my dog was fed the Hills Science Diet at an animal shelter and was advised to continue eating the same food at home. She won't touch him. So I tried the 'best' brands - wet and dry - with no 'animal by-products' (i.e. what's left on the slaughterhouse floor) and with meat as the first ingredient, but she still wouldn't eat it - until she died. practically starve…
