I love this shampoo and conditioner. I use it almost every day because it's so hot here and I try to exercise daily. I had pumps for each bottle that don't come with the shampoo, which makes it a lot easier to use large bottles. And I don't use more than I need. My hair keeps a fine shade for 3 months until the next color. Of course there is some color loss at the end of the 12 weeks but mainly due to new growth. I am 99% sure that this is not a real Color Extend. The bottle is real, but the product inside is probably not. I've had it before and loved it and it feels like I washed it with dish soap and it's knotting. The scent is also overwhelming and makes my eyes water.

When I opened the envelope the neck of the bottle was torn off and 3/4 was in the pocket! When trying to pick up the mess I tried to put the cap on the bottle and it wouldn't screw on. What am I doing ? I can return an empty bottle but I don't think they will accept an envelope full of liquid.

I decided to go to Ulta and buy the product to make sure I have a genuine product before using it. Non-genuine product, wrong consistency or smell when comparing salon bought Redken Color Extension. Products sold in this way are usually expired or a different product. They can even cause skin irritation and rashes. It was a cheap lesson and only once without serious consequences. I have dyed natural blonde hair grade A blue black and no product (shampoo or conditioner) would not throw the color down the drain.
