Personally I wish they had softened them up. After 10-15 minutes on the drops I got a little tired and my palms turned red. Overall not bad but if I had a softer option I would change it. I drove across the country from SF2NY in July 2021. It definitely gives my hand some relief after being on bars on aerobars.

I put them on the kitchen sink Redshift roll bar and it's the most comfortable riding position I've ever had. Gone are the days when handlebar pads or just "suffering makes me better” were options for riding on top for a long time. No need to be uncomfortable driving, do your hands a favor.

I was a little apprehensive about the installation but it was very easy and I completed it in less than an hour. I wrapped the existing tape back onto the brake levers and then installed the pads according to the instructions. Then you just had to rewind the tape. They work great too. My hands are numb and I can already tell how much better they feel.

Improved comfort, like almost everything about it. In addition to the locking mechanism of the handles. I'm afraid to tighten it further and break something, but it still only moves under heavy pressure. Now that doesn't mean it moves regularly, but I've noticed that after a few rides it starts to curl up slightly and I squeeze it tight and twist it again. Next time I make my own tape I'll put some tubing rubber in between and see if it holds the metal rod tighter.
