🚗 Reese Towpower Trailer Hitch Class III, 2 in. Receiver for Select Volkswagen Tiguan Models Review

Not sure if it's Revain or the seller but it doesn't fit the 2018 Tiguan. Only for 2018 Tiguan LIMITED. I'm giving 3 stars because I'm sure it will work great on a 2018 Tiguan LIMITED.

Very easy installation. I used a utility knife to carefully cut the panel along the marked lines. 11/16" socket to 1/2" ratchet with 8" extension. Took less than 5 minutes. Now I need to figure out the lighting wiring.

Although I don't use my hitch to tow heavy loads, it's easy to install with minimal tools. I would say the work could take 30 minutes. Weld and quality look very good. I mainly use the trailer hitch to transport bicycles. My car is a 2013 VW Tiguan.

I thought I would be disappointed because the item was sent without gear, but I contacted Reese directly and they sent me the gear in a few days, 5 stars for exceptional customer service, they contacted me the same day i applied.

Very easy installation. Basically cut out a cast square at the bottom of the rear bumper. Install the 4 screws provided with Loctite. And everything is ready, seriously, about 15 minutes. The Finns in this regard are average at best. It is sprayed thickly, many streaks and particles are stuck in the paint. Welds are medium. But unless someone comes down to check, they'll never notice.

I received this product and waited a bit before installing it in my car. As I began installation, I noticed that the welds on the product were crooked, causing whatever I was attaching to the hitch to be skewed sharply to the left. Unfortunately, my trade-in window has expired - I'm disappointed that a company like Reese is putting such an inferior product on the market.

While installing a towbar on my VW Tiguan is not difficult, it does seem difficult to ship the correct equipment. The bolts don't even go through the holes in the hitch itself, and the washers overlap so they don't form an airtight seal. Now I work in the largest volume trailer store in the US, I've seen what works and what doesn't. I gave it to my mechanic yesterday and asked if he could wear it!
