Short elevator. Warning: Exterior Accessories

Good welds but lift needs to be higher My trailer locking mechanism makes it difficult to use an extra bracket. A change is required.

Quality Product - Receiver

Reliable Reese Product. Used on a trip to and from Florida with my bike rack on top while towing my truck. Not a problem, but I recommend tightening the clutch to keep it strong.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Repair

Excellent fit and finish

This is exactly what I was looking for for RV and bike towing. I chose Reese after reading feedback from Reese customers and many other companies. The quality of Reese products made the choice much easier. Excellent fit and finish.

Pros
  • Industry leading
Cons
  • Not sure

Great for turning sideways to add a stand either temporarily or permanently

I installed a 2" front hitch on my F250 and set it up SIDE, drilled new holes to create a vertical kayak -T-bar to mount, and bought a 2" hitch so I could stand on it to load the kayak. Then I remove the travel step. Works fantastic and is quite strong as there is little weight from the weld on the side! Very happy with this device

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Upgradeable

It worked as intended

Works and arrived on time. The only issue we had was that the end inserted into the vehicle receiver was a bit small and tended to wobble back and forth when the transport platform was inserted into the top receiver, but it lifted the platform and placed it well enough backwards that the tailgate of our van can be lifted with the scooter mounted on it. Happy with the extension so far and will update as needed,

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Band

Be sure to consider the dimensions

It is well made and durable but the dimensions for this product are critical and are not listed in the description. Vertical hole-to-hole spacing between receivers is not listed but is 5-1/2 inches. It's pretty small. There are many similar products and they all come in different sizes. This is stated in other similar products. The Tower 84131 is 7-1/2 inches tall, while the HiTow Dual Receiver is 6-1/2 inches tall. This one and the two I mentioned above all three have the upper receiver tube 7

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are downsides
