    Misleading Trailer Accessory

    This kit does not quite do what it is supposed to. Yes, but the 2 wires are too short. Obviously this is primarily used for a truck but the 2 sets of wires are only 15 feet long. Considering most trucks are so long you don't have enough room to climb into the cab/hood as well as the back. Too short. In the end I only needed 2 cords so I just used the existing connection and spliced the black and white together to make them longer and still only have 5 feet left. The blue wire was spot on…

    I was disappointed to find that this kit is not included.

    I bought this to connect a brake control unit to a Toyota Land Cruiser. I was disappointed to find that this kit does not include a brake control connector so you will either have to remove the brake control connector or purchase an additional connector: Reese Towpower 8506911 Brake Control Adapter Harness which is optional. $15 at local stores. The wires were long enough for my application and seemed to be of decent quality, I just wish there was a pigtail in there so I could connect my brake…

    cable length! - Brake Controls

    Do not order this product shorter than 7ft of ground wire (white) and power wire (black) for Durango if the battery is directly on the side for short wiring (barely enough then if you have a standard sized truck, order a black wire from other companies to get to the battery, and installing a 20 amp Rinkey Dink fuse is a poor substitute for properly wiring the electric brakes (should be a 40 amp automatic switch) MX5 for short, but no one tows trailers with a 12ft sports car.
