Poor and weak sound. I bought this solely to train my dog as the cyclist scared him with her bike bell and he panicked. The audio is weak and I'm not sure if it will panic or not on a stronger call. I would not recommend this call for actual use. Use it because of weak sound but it's cheap and seems to work so far, training my dog.

Pedestrians cannot hear fast approaching cyclists. It's wise to let them know you're around. If they hit you at the last minute, everyone will have a bad day. A loud explosion is imminent and can put the tourist in an aggressive mood. This little bell makes a happy chime that can be heard in the distance, indicating an approaching bike, not a truck. With a happy smile, a wave, and a "thank you" (for dodging), the traveler and I exchanged pleasantries.

This bell represents excellent value for money: well made and LOUD, but buyers beware! Many of the other calls currently offered on the calling page are NOT the plain old CALL-CALL type of calling. I got what I paid for. Two bells are great, but the mounts are terrible. The clamp is plastic and tightens with a single bolt that is barely long enough, without much "bite" on the other end, to attach the bell to a standard diameter handlebar. And also . it's not that safe. Bar tape or some type of rubber band (like the one I used in the 2nd photo) is required on the bottom to keep it in place. My 'active adult' dad, who still thinks he's in his 30s (although he's not), injured his leg and needed temporarily a stroller while his injury did not heal.
