Not airtight in spares

Wanted to use it for a turbo uppipe but air can escape through steel braids. Good for a normal low pressure exhaust, but far from perfect.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Don't remember but there was something

does the job: exhaust pipes and tips

quick delivery, installed this weekend, looks like pretty cheap stainless steel. let's see how it holds up. slides well over 2.5" pipe - switched to butt weld for custom builds.

Pros
  • hands free operation
Cons
  • frequency

Looks tough, does the job

Recently finished replacing the motor in my Explorer. The downspout/Y-tube was a little crooked and I didn't want to pull it out again to bend it. I bought it to fix a scammer. Does the job as well as I could wish for. I don't know how long this will be, but I'll update when I go.

Installed on a 2005 Camry (on studs)

Installed on a 2005 base model Toyota Camry. I had to trim the muffler pipe a bit at both ends as I bolted it on instead of welding it. Please note that since I didn't weld it, failure is expected sooner rather than later. This car is on my property and doesn't drive around town, so bolting rather than welding is somewhat justified.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Stainless steel center section only

The weldable steel of this unit is mild steel. The steel on the inside appears to be stainless, but the clip securing the outer mesh is definitely mild steel. The flexible section also appears to be stainless steel. If someone advertises something as rustproof, it has to be 100% rustproof. The magnet will stick to any section of the "tube" but not the mesh and flexible part.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Reliable

Exhaust leak problem solved

2005 Nissan Sentra engine service light should come on - code was for exhaust leak - after researching possible solutions decided on this item - had to weld and cut 1 1/2" and fit - immediately the noisy went away Exhaust noise and after the car drove about 100 miles the engine light went out Installing this item saved over $210 instead of buying the entire exhaust pipe.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So-so

Good construction, good fit.

I used this 8" piece to connect the driver side downpipe to the passenger side Y-pipe on my 5.4L 07 F150. It replaced a plug I had made from a thinner caliber exhaust pipe. Pipe a few years ago that appears to have rusted. I used a pipe expander to repair existing 2.5 inch OD pipe. Hit it with sandpaper to remove the rust residue from the old pipe and unhook the driver's side cat from the headers. Sprayed some penetrating oil and slid this 2.5" ID pipe into place. I clamped it down with new…

Hard as a rock. Bonus + Removed the squeaky sound of the flex exhaust

They replaced the plain flex exhaust (picture of plain flex exhaust below) that was installed after the muffler was removed. *Sound* was top priority, and the thin walls of the flexible exhaust let too much of the harsh tone through. The Remarkable Power RK7545 fits like a stainless steel glove and has no harsh tones along with less overall movement in the exhaust *sound* parts. I attribute this to the much thicker-walled braided midsection, which was flexible enough to make the weird…

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Very stiff but slightly bent

Not as flexible as I was hoping for but for the application I needed it just slowed down my install. I installed this in my 99 Ford Expedition Triton 5.4l and used it as a replacement for a pre-cat. If you intend to use this as a patch, be prepared to parse more exhaust than you'd like. I used it between my cat and the exhaust manifold and thankfully the flange bolts gave me no trouble removing them. I had to disassemble and reassemble a few times to realign the flange due to a slight bend in…
