Not as flexible as I was hoping for but for the application I needed it just slowed down my install. I installed this in my 99 Ford Expedition Triton 5.4l and used it as a replacement for a pre-cat. If you intend to use this as a patch, be prepared to parse more exhaust than you'd like. I used it between my cat and the exhaust manifold and thankfully the flange bolts gave me no trouble removing them. I had to disassemble and reassemble a few times to realign the flange due to a slight bend in the pipe and a limited bend in this pipe. Finally everything worked out and the car sounds good now. I saved about $400-$500 on a factory whistle.
