One pencil broken in the box otherwise good quality

These are quite expensive pencil sets and the fact that one and only one pencil is broken inside the box is strange. There are no signs of missing chips, meaning the box was filled with an already factory-broken pencil. However, as you can see from the picture, I can still use it - it will be some time before I figure out how to sharpen it. That's not my favorite color. So far I've used two pencils for the Make Marks drawing lesson and I really like them. It's easy to make a light mark, apply…

One of the best! good for drawing

What can you say about Lyra products but they smell like quality! These are great crayons. Everything from the packaging (high quality tin with printed pen colors on the inner lid), the workmanship of the pens (high quality wood with printed color names in German and English) to the performance. high quality pencil. I have a large set of Prismacolor pencils, and while they work great with wax-based pencils, I wanted an oil-based pencil set so I could build layers of color more efficiently…

Lots of broken but still awesome oil based pencils.

I LOVE these pencils. Received on the recommendation of a teacher for better control of the weight of the fishing line, switched to these Prismacolors wax-based colors and Graphite. They're buttery smooth and smooth, and are great value for money. They seem to break a lot, which is sad but not nearly as bad as prisms. About a month after I started working with Lyra I got Caran D'Ache pencils which I prefer to any pencils I've used before. BUT, Caran D'Ache is bloody expensive so it's a…

I love these pens

I love these pens. They lie down in a beautiful color. They sharpen well and have decent sharpness with the exception of Pale Geranium Lake #2000021. For some reason this pencil would not sharpen without breaking the lead in every manual pencil sharpener I own. The lead crumbled and broke while sharpening no matter how careful I was, and I ended up losing half the pencil before it finally stopped falling apart. If anyone has experience with Prismacolors' tricky pencils and their fragile leads…

All pens are NOT created equal!

I am a mixed media artist and I am always itching to try a new or different product to see how I can achieve a certain look or improve my technique , so I ordered Lyra Art Pencils Rembrant in shades of grey. I've never given up Prismacolor pencils just because they're the best for my fine work, so I knew it would take a little practice to get used to a different brand of pencil. Well, I can't fault the quality much, they are very good in color depth and fit well on the Canson board, but need…
