Description of πŸš€ SEO-Optimized: "Remflex 2027 Chevy L6 Engine Exhaust Gasket

Stock Port; Chevy L6 - OHV 216.5 ('37-'53), 235 ('50-'63), 261 ('55-'62), One Piece, Manifold or Headers, 1 (each). Heating and cooling of the exhaust system causes header and manifold flanges to warp resulting in gaps between the head and header which Remflex exhaust gaskets seal completely due to the thickness and compressibility of the 100 percent flexible graphite. Remflex exhaust gaskets come in a standard 1/8 inch thickness and are designed to crush 50 percent allowing them to fill any pits or gaps in the flange surface up to 1/16 inch. The aluminum cylinder head and steel header or manifold combination are configurations that readily cause gap issues in the mating flanges due to contraction and expansion of the dissimilar materials; Remflex exhaust gaskets fill those gaps permanently. There are no rubber binders or composite materials in Remflex exhaust gaskets so they will not shrink or harden due to time or temperature eliminating the need to go back and continually retighten your flange bolts.

The Absolute Best Gasket for Older Engines

My engine is an old 1955 Stovebolt 261 with cast intake and exhaust manifolds. This is the only spacer that should be present for this type of installation. Sealed and works great!

Pros
  • The combination of an aluminum cylinder head and a steel header or elbow are configurations that easily create gap problems in mating flanges due to compression and expansion of different materials; Remflex exhaust gaskets fill these gaps permanently

Great product, definitely recommended for those who have problems with.

This product fixed a recurring problem I was having with the engine/manifold tuning. I have tried replacement pads from a reputable manufacturer, they have always failed. Remflex gaskets sealed the headers to the head and even reduced the exhaust noise a bit. Great product, definitely recommend to anyone having problems with exhaust leaks on Chevrolet 235.
