There was too much steam and a strong smell of burning on the first try. I continued to take, hoping it was normal and ignoring the growing smell of burning. I made another try. This time the rectifier plate came loose, even the internal parts fell out. Not only is it a waste of money, it's also scary. (Imagine trying to straighten your hair and it all suddenly falls off along with a strong smell of burning and steam) Completely frustrating. I do not recommend.

Bought on a whim after my last Remington iron stopped working. (RIP Old Faithful, 2015-2021 lol) I like this one 10x more because I can control the temperature and it never catches my hair. I can make my hair (relaxed but still textured) silky smooth in ONE PASS. Works well with my Loreal heat protectant (preheat) and John Freida polisher (postheat).

Not worth the price I've heard of using a Remington diamond and it works 8 times faster than this and it's cheaper and you can find it at your local Walmart etc. Honestly disappointed I am spontaneously bought this one 1 inch slab, another and another 2 inch slab of this bead, one for my mom who didn't know there was no point in straightening my hair. I had to pull each strand 6 times to get the result I get with Diamond Remington only 2 passes 😔

I bought this iron 4 years ago and it is the best iron I have ever had. My hair is very long and curly and this straightener makes it super straight! I also bought 2 more 2 years ago and gave them away and they loved them. Now I'm buying another one because I took mine abroad and the electricity there was unstable, it damaged it. But I can't complain. I will always buy this iron, it has served me for several years and it is really very good!

My wife wanted a new appliance to replace the old 2 inch she had for a while. I have read good reviews of this device and the ratings were better than the replacement model that had it. I took a chance as the exact replacement unit cost almost $100 more. So far she likes it for the 2 weeks she has been using. Don't be put off by the price. Let's see if it lasts as long as the more expensive one.

I am a simple person. I want a simple tool to do simple things. I don't want to play around with it or find out. That was excellent. Elegant and simple. Bonus - it works GREAT. I can get my super thick hair done with this in about 10 minutes. And it makes my hair soft. Definitely recommend
