The key is programmed perfectly.

Key programmed perfectly. I took it to the dealer. They charged $55 for the program. They couldn't believe the key was programmed perfectly. They would have charged $165.00 for the same key.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Damaged

Chrysler needs to improve its key fob design!

Works, but some key features differ from the original. Still better than the $250 the Chrysler dealer was asking. It's a shame that Chrysler designed such a poor quality key that it would last less than 4 years with very light use.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Power outlet required

Harder work than most

Local locksmith programmed the key with no problems. He asked where I got the key from because he said it was a heavier car than most he had seen in the aftermarket. The only problem was the metal key slots weren't quite right and when he cut the key it didn't work. I cut another one from my stash (at no extra charge, btw) and it all worked fine. Overall, I'm very happy with the keychain.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons

Bad long-term solution

There was only one key in my used van. My local dealer had no problem programming this key. However, I couldn't find anyone who could cut the metal key inside. The inscriptions on the keys are quickly erased. After a year of moderate use, the labels are almost completely gone. My factory key is at least 5 years old and hardly wears out in comparison. I have attached a photo comparing the two.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Clarity

I had two of these as backups within a year.

I've had two of these over the course of a year as spares in case an original key fob fails. Both have stopped working completely. I changed the batteries and checked the pins on the board but they still don't work. It cost me over a hundred dollars to program because I only had one working key fob and my car takes two to program a third. I have a 2010 Town and Country. Lesson learned. Don't buy Chinese.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Works great!: Keyless entry systems

Information states that 2010 and later models require a new key fob to be programmed by the dealer. I have a 2010 Town & Country and followed the simple instructions that came with the new key fob. It was programmed successfully in about 30 seconds. I had two original key rings that fell apart. They started the car, but the electronics didn't work. I used them for the programming process and everything worked fine. I buy a second one. So far the new device works great and even starts the vanโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Small parts

For the price it's definitely worth it. .

Definitely worth it for the price. We were able to take two key fobs to the dealer and program them for $64. The result was about $95 for two remotes. That's hundreds less than if we bought it from a car dealership. The materials appear to be lighter than the original (the part where the door key slides in and out is plastic on this one and metal on the original). They may not last as long, but we think the savings are worth it. The website has manual programming instructions up to 2009 Iโ€ฆ
