no more reliable than using an app that is itself problematic.

We bought this because the app was blocked and wouldn't allow arming/disarming for a few minutes. Unfortunately, when the system is locked, it also does not respond to the remote control. If it worked reliably, the button would be hard to see in the dark, and even in the light it would be hard to see which button does what.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

I don't carry this with me every day, but I can see how easy it is to press the raised buttons. The key fob is also in the wrong place; someone missed the design there. The icons on the buttons are so similar and not intuitive at all. Only an experienced iSmartAlarm user can figure out which button does what (and it looks like the same layout as the mobile app). But again, since
