Great idea, but the housing is too narrow for a real key. As soon as I installed the key, the key slot cracked. Low quality.

You have to assemble it in the right order, but it fits my 2007 Lexus RX350 key perfectly. No wobble, no sticking parts and it's pretty solid when I use it to turn the ignition on.

Great idea, when I looked a while ago I couldn't find an aftermarket replacement key without paying over $100. . It's not 100% without changing the keybase or maybe the shell and out of my set of two one fits better than the other so there are some consistency issues but for the price it's a great buy and I have another set ordered while this one is even available. Keep in mind that you can easily pay over $200 for just one key at a retailer.

The original 2003 Lexus es 300 key fob broke after being dropped. I like that it comes with a mini screwdriver. The front and back correspond exactly to the original. It has Lexus badging like the original. The only thing that's different is the part where my metal key fits. I had to put a metal key in this little piece shown in the picture. It was very crowded. I was afraid I would have to take another. I needed someone to do it with a lot more power and it worked. So far, so good!

I received 2 as both of my original key fobs were torn (my ES is 18 years old). When assembling the first one, I put the key in the plastic part and it cracked. In good condition but not perfect. Second, since I was a bit wiser now, I enlarged the keyhole with a file and filled it with petroleum jelly; the keys entered with difficulty but without cracks. Perfectly assembled. This should be useful to many! First, without modification, it didn't work for my 2002 Lexus LS430. The end result was great. So here's what I had to do: Look at my photo of the key. Much cheaper alternative to a dealer key. If you buy this key, you probably know the fatal flaw of Lexus keys. The plastic shell is not strong enough and over time the shell separates from the force required to turn the key in the ignition. Shame on Lexus for designing such a bad key. Works great but only for factory key repairs. I had two repair keys, the original factory key and a spare key I bought from a local locksmith for $135. This worked perfectly for a factory key (note that you have to break the plastic off the metal key to fit the metal key in the small V-shaped bracket).
