I agree with the reviews that say the channel button is a big problem. In other words, it doesn't work. I will return this item.

The guide pad broke after a week of use. The down button is not registered. It is also not Bluetooth like the original Samsung remote. It uses infrared.

These things are difficult to open and once you've done it you can put in batteries. Then I have to program the device to my TV and also take the AV receiver to get HDMI to work with audio etc. It works great. With a conventional antenna I have 37 channels in the metro area. Switching to download streaming instead of going back to "Live TV" works great.

This item cost $30. A Samsung replacement from the Samsung website costs $50. I should have just spent the extra $20. Delivered on Wednesday, and as of Monday (after 5 days) the channel switch button no longer works. So it's sad and exciting. In addition, the guide function is not displayed on satellite channels. Basically, the power button and the volume button work. I'll be back and just going to order one from Samsung's website.

This is a third party remote control for Samsung TVs. When I opened it up, it looked almost exactly like the one that came with the TV. But when I installed the batteries, for some reason the springs that hold them and make electrical contacts were too short.
