This is a new version replacement control pod for Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 Computer speakers. If your old control pod is missing or broken, this is just what you need. It has the same functions of the original control pod. You can simply connect this control pod to your subwoofer/speakers and your sound device (MP3 Player, Computer, Cellphone etc.) with the included cables. The subwoofer cable is detachable from the control pod. The control pod is stand alone. You do not need to attach it to speakers. You can place it in a spot that is easy to reach. What's included in the package: Control Pod, Subwoofer Cable, Audio Cable (6ft). Speakers and Subwoofer are NOT included!.

Attention buyers: remote controls and accessories

Opened the box, plugged it in and short-circuited my subwoofer, too bad, because 4.1 is irreplaceable. I've had the system for 18 years.

Worked great with an old Klipsh system

I have an almost 20 year old Klipsh system that had a broken volume control. It worked as a perfect replacement. Very happy with it. I just wish it was a little cheaper.

Burned out in less than 4 months, the house stank

Burned out in less than 4 months, the house stank. The green LED was not working most of the time, indicating the device is powered on. Missed return deadline!

Direct replacement for a great system

I've had a Klipsch system for years and eventually the volume control died, the balance control was already having problems so I started looking for a replacement after not being able to find a direct replacement for that had found internals. Amazon, as usual, killed with the delivery. The unit is a direct replacement, all plugs work and fit well, the handles are smooth and work well, and the price wasn't outrageous. Cable length is good too, FYI.

My ProMedia 4.1 system sounds like new again

My ProMedia 4.1 system sounds like new. I thought decades of heavy use had taken their toll on the speakers themselves, but I was wrong. The culprit was the Klipsch "Control Box". After replacing the official Klipch control box with this one, the sub woofer got the punch I remember and the satellites sound like a dream. Works great, cheaper than a remanufactured OEM unit on eBay

I bought this product to replace a Klipsch Promedia 4.1 control unit. It replicates all the I/Os and controls of the OEM module, although not as well. The quality of materials is significantly inferior to OEM components. The resistance of the handle is firm although it rotates smoothly. The body is made out of fairly light plastic that flexes a little and feels light and untangible. The on/off button has a good click but wobbles and feels light and fairly cheap.
