I swapped both warning factory keys in about half an hour. Purchase a hammer drill to remove the pins and swap out the key blades. Interchangeable projectiles appear to be well built.

You cannot transfer the original key to the spare key slot as the molded plastic case is not designed to be carried. The buttons didn't work the same way either - they need to be redone; unless the goal is to find a place to cut the blank and then replace/recode the key fob! I have returned this item!

It took me a while to figure out how to replace the internals and old key from my first set but for the price it couldn't get any better! My old bunch of keys literally fell apart. This is a job, it looks cheaper than the original but it works great! Not to mention that saving over a hundred dollars on a new key isn't a bad deal!

Bought to replace a worn keychain. This new one was easy to assemble after I took the old one apart. This one comes with a small screw under the Chevy logo, but the old one was glued on. The only tricky part is turning the spring to get the key to open properly with the button, but that's a user issue, not a parts issue. Works great so I bought another to replace my spare key. I saved over $200 on a new dealer key! #do it yourself
