Upgrade to standard sensors supplied with mm300

Replacement test leads for gauges with standard banana inputs. They are equipped with removable alligator clips that attach to wires and other conductors. Unlike test probes, they should be supplied with the meter as standard. When troubleshooting, you will almost always need an alligator clip on the common (black) wire for AC neutral or DC negative. They are well made and functional.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Only available in black

good test leads on multitester

My 23m Fluke leads are worn out after 30+ years of use and I just haven't seen much money for an OEM replacement. These wires are very well made. The plastic bodies of the banana plugs fit snugly into the meter holes, but the plugs themselves make very good contact (I use some CAIG D100 DeOxit to lubricate the connections). I also like that my original Fluke alligator clips work as an alternative to the small alligator clips with probe tips.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost OK

Alligator clips are cheap weak

I am disappointed with this manufacturer I have been buying from for years with all 5 star reviews. Alligator clips do not stick tightly in the probes, they are small and difficult to open under their covers. I have the original leads that came with my small multimeter and will be using them. To do this I buy new alligator clips that work, cut the wires and solder them. So basically I just have to switch whole wires when I need alligator clips instead of trying to glue those little ones.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • cord is shorter than others

I'll admit I was a bit skeptical that these were real miniature test leads. However, they definitely are. They are actually much better than the wires that came with the mm300 multimeter I bought. The wire is thicker and the probes and alligator clips have metal threads so you can screw on the clamps or other available accessories. They are about the same length as the originals and fit neatly into the back of my mm300 just like the original. The end that connects to the multimeter is alsoโ€ฆ

You can be killed if you handle high voltage.

Bought for my CAT IV CL800. The connector ends shown in the picture are not the types of ends found on these probes! If this really is Kline, then they should be ashamed. These sensors couldn't pass a simple "dead man's test": sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't. Put the counter on the continuity and connect the ends together and then move the ends of the connection, you have continuity and you don't. The way the ends of these probes are connected is non-metallic, they look like someโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Expensive

Suitable for my Fluke 27/FM. like, see photo

Photo - Red - Small Black - original Fluke. Bought these for a Fluke 27/FM that I've had since the early 90's. As you can see from the photos, the Klein shell is longer so it doesn't fit completely in the nest (although it fits snugly). This is easily fixed with a pocket knife. What worries me the most is the actual probe material in another photo. Seriously, WTH is that thing?!? It feels like some kind of coated metal? And it's a solid rod, so the spring pressure on the base wall is obviouslyโ€ฆ
