🔧 AirMan ResQ Pro+ Tire Repair Kit: Complete Solution for Tire Repair Review

I used some Airman compressor and motor internals for a separate home project. I am showing this photo in case anyone considering this purchase is interested in design or manufacture. I have already rated this product in another review, so I will try not to do it again.

I have 2 of these to keep in the trunk of my BMW and my wife's Mercedes after getting rid of the horrible run-flat tires on both cars. Now I have peace without a spare wheel in the trunk. It also costs about 1/3 the cost of an original BMW or Mercedes kit - and it seems a lot better made.

I ended up using it to inflate tires that were a bit low. It was trivially easy and convenient. Note that this must be obtained from an authorized dealer in order for the sealant to be new. If you don't use it before it expires (after 5 years?) you can exchange the sealant tank for a new one.

I have never used this product. It looks good and should do what it's supposed to do. You plug the device into an auxiliary socket in the car. The device is rated at 15 amps. My Toyota Rav4 socket is designed for 10 amps. Check the socket rating in your vehicle's owner's manual or you risk blowing the fuse and not being able to use the device when you need it. I've added a set of wires that attach to the battery terminals with a connector that you can connect a tire pump to.

I bought a new Tesla Model X last summer and I love it, but like many modern cars it doesn't have a spare tire. Officially, when I get an apartment, I should just call technical help and wait for help, but I don't like that I can't save myself. I don't know if it works as advertised until I pierce it. My two complaints: the lack of instructions on how to change the sealant bottle and how to read the coded expiry date. After speaking to their US office, they explained that a small brass ring had to be unscrewed to release the bottle.
