DON'T Spend $300+ on Motorola Never Again!

I have just ordered the RT1 which I think is a great radio. Too bad they don't make a charger. I will start ordering RT29 to replace 20 Motorola CP200. They are used on the off-road track for personnel. Not sure why a one star rating but if you know how to use the two ways you shouldn't have a problem with any Retevis product.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Almost Perfect - Portable Audio and Video

Well this radio is almost perfect for my needs. Good range, good sound quality, great battery life. Continuous. The biggest downside for me are the volume knobs in the cockpit and very easy channel changing which gets paranoid and checks the radio to see if I'm on the right channel and full volume because you know when you're up a live rail working track. and you owe GTFO once the flagger radios you, that's very important. I ended up just gluing the handles in place.

Pros
  • Easy Setup
Cons
  • Not the Best

Blunt screws. for CB and talkback radios

My company has been using these walkie talkies in our 30,000 sq ft showroom for about a month. They work well, but recently we decided that instead of distributing them around the store, we wanted our employees to carry several of these devices with them. That's when I noticed that you need a special screwdriver (T9) to loosen the screws on the back panel, and without it you can't attach the belt clips. Of course I checked all 6 boxes again and nothing. So now we need to buy a special…

Amazing radios - with a little problem

Amazing radios for the price. Use them in a fairly difficult area and over 400 hectares with great success. The only problem is the screws they give you to install the belt clips. DO NOT USE the screws provided as they are 2 short ones that will detach and fall off (I repeat do not use the screws provided). Loss elimination after putting on and taking off the belt. Like I said great radios and I will buy them again knowing I will be using my own belt clip screws. Using the right screws only…

Excellent quality and range

I wanted to see if these Retevis would work better than my Uniden FRS radios which require a 2/3 channel FCC license. I tested it in a rural area with lots of trees and lots of hills up to 800 feet high. I like Retravis better. This is slightly larger than typical FRS radios. More durable to grip and has much better battery life. Estimated standby/limited usage time of 10 days is approximately 10 days longer than Unidens. The range is also slightly better. From my house I can get a good signal…
