Nice but not worth $200

Looks aside, the machine has some very basic features that you can get with a $30 coffee maker. Strange design with a handle on the side that is easy to break. I got rid of the plastic taste that someone complained about by running water through 6-7 times, but ended up sending the machine back because the keep warm function didn't work when the machine was auto programmed. What's the use of making coffee in the morning when you come into the kitchen and it's just warm? The keep warm function…

  • Pleasant to use

The updated model is fantastic

I've always been curious about these Smeg coffee makers and social media photos have won me over to their aesthetic. Contrary to negative reviews, it is actually an improved model (DCF02). Now the lid opens to 90 degrees, the sound can be turned off and the burner works for an hour! I've been using this for a little over a week and I literally couldn't find myself making a bad coffee. I try to make it stronger and use a double bean (flavor setting) and the flavor profile is never bitter…

  • Done

$100 for the coffee maker $99 for the sculpture

Not enough has been said about how beautiful it is. As I took it out of the box and placed it on the counter, I thought that the sun was about to rise behind it and a choir of angels would erupt. If R2D2 had a girlfriend and this girl was dressed for the Oscars, this is what she would look like. I have researched many coffee makers and read many reviews. It seemed to have everything I was looking for and was a beautiful color. It was easy to set up, made a strong cup of hot coffee, and stayed…

Looks great, doesn't work that well.

Well I bought it because it's so pretty and for the $200 price I was hoping it would do a good job. Unfortunately there aren't any. It's just a facade. The body of the coffee maker. This thing is incredibly difficult to work with. Just setting the time was worth a tedious hour of work. Trembling mug, right? It's like a new iPhone comes out with a rotary switch. And no, if you answer 8,000 questions here, you can't pour all the water from a carafe into a well. So if you don't want to bring a jar

Terrible design, no customer service, no parts

I'm a big coffee drinker. I bought the SMEG because I liked the look and design, but I was very disappointed with it. I thought the design would match the quality. but he has a carafe with cheap plastic parts that break very easily. During my warranty period the carafe broke (not the glass part but as you can see on the web there is a cheap plastic part that attaches to the carafe which is very flimsy. My whole machine was under warranty so I have customer service called what a joke. This is…

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • Damaged
