🧤 Revco REVCO - T50 - Large"Ultimate Tig Welding Glove, Size Large Review

I bought these gloves as my first Tig specialty gloves and I have to say they got me hooked! They are very light and comfortable to wear for hours. They don't get as hot as other brands of gloves when welding around my fingers.

Doesn't look like the posted picture as you can see the arm section is longer on the ones I received. Also some minor imperfections or imperfections in the manufacturing process. Due to the color difference, it appears to be a different model.

I had a pair of Tillmans straight out of welding school and thought I'd need a good pair to start my new job. They lasted for days. back to his Tillmans (they were 2 months old at the time) and they are still walking. They were $15 cheaper but lasted much longer. I thought you got what you pay for, but in this case you didn't.

I'm just starting to learn TIG welding and these gloves give me a good feel for the torch and putty. I did set them on fire a bit by getting them too close to the end of the torch, but they protected my hands from the heat and survived rookie mistakes. I suspect they'll hold up even better if they're used by someone who knows what they're doing :)

At first glance they seemed very well built and very comfortable. Unfortunately TIG gloves don't stand up to the TIG heat, I only use them occasionally for a couple of weeks at work and you can see in the photos that they already have holes and the seams come undone. Great price but not great for Tig. Should not be sold as TIG gloves. Mig maybe. But no tea.

The first pair I received had a ripped seam on my finger and the fabric was torn exposing my finger directly to the TIG torch. This is unacceptable for a "premium" product. The second pair I received looked like a 6 year old had trimmed the skin around the stitched seams. There was a spot where the stitching was actually cut off. What does the "Kevlar stitch" mean when part of the stitching is cut off? DISSATISFIED!

So this is my second or third pair of these gloves. They're decent, but the factory quality control is very good. If you're lucky enough to get a pair that are sewn correctly and don't have raised seams on the toes, then you've come to the right place. Otherwise you will return/replace gloves until you get a decent pair. Overall these are good gloves and I wouldn't mind buying them again but the company needs to improve quality control at the factory.

Excellent gloves, perfect fit. As a WIG newbie, I wore the same gloves as on the MiG. I thought maybe I should stay with MIG. However, I'm so glad I found them, the skill is amazing. What an amazing change has made my welds so much better and easier to control the weld pool and weld rod. You feel warmer but I like it because when it gets hot I'm probably doing something I shouldn't be doing anyway. Too bad they didn't make them in black but very happy with this purchase.
