very heavy, but high quality

really heavy, so super heavy. Seems to be very high quality and durable and I feel like my bike is secure with it but damn it's heavy

Had a great lock good for cable locks

Loved the lock. It's light and less noise. I also added tape to the sides of the locking bars. That makes it much less noise :).

It takes some time to get used to.

If you are used to padlocks or cables. forget what you know Working with this lock is different in that you can't always bend it like a cable, but it does offer more locking options than just a U. Tucking the end into the lock is another new skill to learn. The combination is easy to change and the rings with numbers are solid. This lock must be difficult to pick and can pose a problem for thieves. It's still recommended to have more than one lock, especially when you're out of sight.

Great folding bike lock for less money

I was intrigued by the price and decided to give it a try. As a disclaimer, I have short trips and only store my bike in a semi-secure garage, not a high-risk theft location. As such, I cannot comment on its resistance to theft. However, for my needs it is perfect. I love how it fits in bottle cages on my bike. I like that it has a button closure so it doesn't accidentally pop out of the holster while cycling. And I love that it's a combo lock - no keys required. One change I made to make itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cable locks
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Nice Bike Lock

I just got my electric bike and bought it to lock while I'm at the store or doing quick errands on the road. It seems like a very good lock for something like that. Solid and heavy but not too heavy to carry. I don't want to mount it to my frame, instead I carry it in the back pocket of my jersey and have not had any complaints so far. It is more difficult to handle than cables or chains, but folds more compactly. I like combination locks much better than key locks - it's just much moreโ€ฆ
