The carabiner(?)-looking part just snaps off from the retractor. And the brush is too heavy for the retractor; it often hangs from the golf bag unretracted. Poorly made product.

I purchased one after seeing a buddy’s brush. His was lost within one round. I nearly lost mine two r three good rounds later. The design flaw is on the clip that holds the chain mechanism to the portion that clips on to the bag. In our cases the two separated with little to no contact and in my friend’s case, the brand new brush was lost. I saw when my brush fell off and was able to save it.

Great product from Champkey Golf Brush it's larger than a regular golf brush over size brush head , fits in your hand perfect nice and comfortable also comes with a groove cleaner . Awesome !John O.
