Works like a charm - my new review

Works like a charm; my saddle pad was slipping back and this has completely corrected the problem. It is also very low prfile and is comfortable for both me and my horse.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • The pad may be too thick and bulky for people with shorter legs or smaller horses

saddle pad slippage

I like it very much; however, I have a twenty one year old WB and I have trouble with it slipping slightly at the withers. I think it is do to hisconformation at this age. It doesn't cause any problems because it is minimal.

Pros
  • It distributes weight evenly, ensuring a comfortable ride for both horse and rider.
Cons
  • The gel material may warp or deform over time, leading to a lumpy or uneven surface

Eliminated Saddle Slipping

This gel pad fit my 18" dressage saddle perfectly and eliminated the side to side slipping of my saddle. It does not add bulk under the saddle and is shock absorbing without rebound. Very happy with this gel pad.

Pros
  • Instant difference under saddle. Not sure about sturdiness … but would buy again!
Cons
  • Kavallerie stood behind their product after a tear down the spin and shipped a replacement.

Works wonders on all types of horses!

I love this pad! It has changed everything about my ride. The first time I rode in the pad, my stiff QH mare that is always ill when we ride (Even after getting her saddle professionally fitted and trying multiple different pads), was a completely different horse! It was like someone had just changed her completely! Her movement was much more flowing and she was moving out freely, and was happy for the first time ever! I've tried it on my TB's, Warmbloods, and ponies, and it fits like a glove…

Pros
  • ‎16.73 x 4.88 x 2.72 inches
Cons
  • The pad may not provide adequate protection for jumping or eventing activities

Gel Pad solved my problem!

This middle riser gel pad fixed my aging slightly sway backed horse's saddle fit. Even my saddle fitter was impressed and said she would probably buy a couple to have in her stock. I did have some cracking on the one I received and the company was very responsive and sent out a new one. I will need to be careful that it doesn't get heated so will need to store in climate control area during hot summer months. UPDATE: Received my new pad, it is PERFECT! This is a GREAT seller and a GREAT pad. My

Pros
  • ✅ A Reliable Gel Saddle Pad That Does It All. Made from soft yet strong materials that keep your saddle from moving, we put 100+ gel holes that prevent heat that causes too much sweating, discomfort, irritation, and skin sores. This is one gel saddle pad your horse will be happy to have.
Cons
  • The pad may not adequately protect your horse's spine and back muscles during intense rides or falls

Very squishy BUT very large and thick.

Okay, first off, this pad is huge. It's very long and very thick and it would be great as an everyday or trail type of pad, but it does NOT work for showing. Pair it with a square or baby pad and you'll be set, just no contoured ones. I ended up having to return it because I bought it for the purpose of showing in Hunters and it just did not work with my 17" CC saddle. If you're looking for something that's thick and squishy, then this is the pad for you, it's not like one of those Thin-line

Pros
  • The pad can help correct saddle fit and eliminate issues like bridging.
Cons
  • The pad may not provide enough grip or traction for certain riding terrains or situations

Great pad. Highly recommend, especially for dressage riders

I picked up this pad to use on a horse with a sensitive back. I was very impressed with the quality and functionality of the pad. It's strong, flexible and - most importantly - provides lots of shock absorption. My horse moved more freely on the first ride. I tried it on a few other horses with similar results. I ride dressage and it fits nicely under my 17" and 17.5" saddles. It was not as "sticky" as I expected it to be after reading some of the reviews, but any initial…

Great swayback pad!

This gel saddle pad has made a huge difference in filling in the swayback area on my 30yr old Arabians back. It’s easy to clean and keeps him comfortable during our trail rides. Well worth the purchase!

Pros
  • It is made from durable materials, ensuring long-lasting use.
Cons
  • The gel material may be too slippery when wet, leading to accidents or falls

Your horse will love you for buying this !

Unfortunately these guys are a bit pricey and they don’t last long this one has been stored in a climate controlled tack room and has become sticky after the third ride ( walking only on a recovering ottb) it is now literally falling apart my last one is still going I used it everyday for four months then passed along to one of my clients whose horse was having shoulder issues .

Pros
  • The Kavallerie Saddle Pad boosts performance, energy, and movement for both the horse and rider.
Cons
  • The pad may need to be replaced frequently, adding to your expenses

Riding with no pain

I am so pleased with my purchase, I felt the difference from the very first minute I rode my horse 🐎 my back doesn’t hurt anymore and my horse is more comfortable than ever before. I highly recommend it

Pros
  • Equestrian Sports
Cons
  • The gel material may not be suitable for horses with sensitive skin, leading to irritations or rashes

Beyond my expectations!

The Kavallerie Gel Half Pad is so much more than I expected! My saddle fits my horse very well, and most half pads add to much bulk where it causes pressure points. I needed something that was just enough cushion to add shock absorption, and the Kavallerie Gel Pad did just that! My horse is extremely happy under it, and I'm happy that she's happy.I am 110% sold on Kavallerie and will continue to promote it during show season :)

Pros
  • It is perfect for horses with sensitivity issues or arthritis.
Cons
  • The gel material may not hold up well under heavy use or high impact activities

This pad is the best! Comfy (for me & my horse)

This pad is the best! Comfy (for me & my horse), doesn't slip and holds the saddle in place even on a rounder horse. I've always had pads slip and got so used to "straightening" them (pushing down on one stirrup or the other) after a corner or whatever, got tiring! Wonderful! Kind of a "sticky" type gel material. Just great. Other people at my barn are asking about it. I would not give up this pad.ever!

Pros
  • ‎unisex
Cons
  • The pad may need to be adjusted frequently during rides, leading to distraction and frustration for the rider

If I ride without it, I can feel a noticeable difference. I use a Barefoot treeless saddle on a 21 yo KMSH with saddle fit and back issues. With the pad, my saddle has no slippage and my horse moves out freely. Without it, he seems uncomfortable and a little short strided, not to mention that my saddles rolls. I use it between a very thin cotton English type pad and under the fleece of my saddle. He used to become unmanageable from back pain the longer I rode. Happy horse, happy rides! WE LOVE…

Pros
  • The Kavallerie saddle pad is significantly less expensive compared to other gel saddle pads on the market.
Cons
  • The gel material may fade or discolor over time, reducing its aesthetic appeal

Comfy, comfy! on my review.

I can’t wait to try this out! It is so mooshy-squishy-wonderful! It comes rolled up neatly in a box which I may keep for storage. It is very well made-the gel material feels strong. It is quite sticky. On one hand that is great-it won’t be sliding around. On the other hand it is going to hold dirt and hair. Even over another pad-it’s that sticky. (And it is meant to go over a pad, just to be clear.) However, my dear horse is slightly sway backed in build, has shark thoroughbred withers, and…

Pros
  • Saddle Pads
Cons
  • The pad may not be suitable for horses with unusual body shapes or sizes
