Not too strong but good price

Fairly good price. The extended traction proved very helpful for my vinyl floor project. I would not recommend using the tap block at all. The spacers were useless and kept falling off. The hammer was pretty helpful, but one of the sides started cracking about 3/4 of the way through my project. Overall I'd say it's good value for money but don't expect it to last long.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Protection

Uses this item

We just bought a new house with old unwanted carpet and our first project was to replace it with laminate flooring. Spacers are quite rubbish to be honest and we ended up buying a pack of 1/4 inch tile rubber spacers (which we used in our other house) and they worked much better. Hammer, rod and block held perfectly. although they still look nearly new after over 2,000 square feet of beating. We also used a bit of felt furniture padding on the underside of the handle to give it a little extra…

Great kit for laminate or snap on tile

I used this to lay DaTile Clic porcelain tiles which lay like laminate (it snaps on so all you have to do is grout. Great product BY THE WAY ). This worked great for this tile, which requires a little "gentle" effort to snap together as you risk cracking the tile. The bar is nice and wide and stiff, the hammer block is very well made and the hammer is the right weight. I will also use it on laminate floors where it works great as laminate floors pose far fewer problems than porcelain stoneware.

Good, but doesn't hold a block for a faucet

Bought for laying laminate in the apartment. Overall it worked great with two complaints. First, the block doesn't hold. It took long enough to build my apartment, but I had to replace it (or build my own) before I could move on to another project. Second, standoffs are good, but don't work against drywall. There is usually a gap between the floor and the drywall, and the caulking just falls into that gap. I ended up making my own wooden spacers. Although the floor puller and hammer are great…

Not bad for one-time use.

Overall I would rate this product as decent. The hammer is of fairly good quality and holds up well. The spacers worked as they should. Although the block has held up well I would say it is of average quality and you have to be very careful when you hit. He damaged a board or two. I would classify the pulling tool as inferior. The thickness of the steel is slightly thinner than other brands, allowing for easy penetration between the board and fairing in tight spaces, but it won't withstand…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some bugs

The dispenser worked quite well with a few exceptions. And the spacers and hammer worked great! The rod worked fine, but after a while it bent. Nothing that couldn't be fixed by holding it in a vise and bending it back. But still a bit annoying. I've found that even using a tapping block can sometimes damage the board's tongue and groove. What I did to fix it was I took a piece of flooring and put it between my piece I was going to install and the block and it worked fine. But something to…

When we took it out of the box it looked used - not reliable

When we opened the box the pry bar and hammer looked worn as if both had already been used. We didn't have time to send it back for another one as it arrived the day before the floors were replaced. We used this to install hardwood floors in a medium sized bedroom and for the last 2 rows the curved end of the rod was almost completely straight after using it on the flooring we installed and had to buy another one. to finish the work. When laying the floors, the layer block broke - when laying…
