Be extremely careful with firmware updates

I bought this product about a month ago and last week decided to test and set up the camera before installing it. The instructions say to install the latest firmware, which I did. What mistake! Thinking I locked the device, I read that the SD card needs to be formatted with Fat32 formatting. Almost all SD cards have large file formats that are not available in Windows 8.1 and later. You need to download the Fat32 formatter, then format the SD card to Fat32, then download the firmware update…

Solved the sticky problem of falling off on hot summer days

I ordered 2 pieces two weeks ago and today they fell off after a hot summer day. It was 95F and the inside temp had risen to 140F. I'm in Boston so there aren't many summer days to complain about. The glue has completely melted. The label was also peeled off. Updates: I have found that the glue sold at Homedepot works well. The best DVR ever!

I have bought 3 DVRs so far and this is the best so far. To be honest this is by far the most expensive and it should be better. and it is absolutely true. The recording is much clearer. I installed it so that the DVR was obscured by a mirror from the driver's seat and blocked the windshield no more than the mirror. It just works and the instructions are clear. Great camera! Very satisfied

After a long search on the internet I decided to buy the Rexing V1 because of the size and the supplied adhesive mount. I don't like suction cup mounts because they wear out over time. I hardwired the device to my car so that when the ignition is turned on it powers the device.
