Nice product in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

This is a very good case for the price. Best Buy charges $60 for the same. One thing to note if using this over USB. The included USB cable is for data transfer only and you must use an AC adapter. According to the instructions, you only need the power adapter for the eSATA connection, which is not true. When purchasing, make sure you have or are purchasing a USB cable that will transfer data and provide power. I had one for my Garmin GPS that worked, so now I don't have to carry an AC adapter…

Rocketfish SATA 2.5 " Hard Drive Enclosure RF-AHD25

Pros: - Great price, $1.5 each. I was really skeptical that it would work. Power adapter, USB cable, HD mounting screws, manual, alternative black cover, case, CDs, drivers, etc. The most important thing is that it works with my laptop's E-Sata port. Cons: - The cover is not easy to remove, even with a fingernail. - It is preferable to use fewer tools to assemble and disassemble the hard drive - A cumbersome way to assemble the hard drive First remove the cover, then remove the circuit board…

Love it! Computer Accessories & Peripherals

This is an amazing bargain for the $10 I paid and is worth at least $30. Durability: Awesome and very durable aluminum body. While the plastic top cover isn't waterproof, it does flex a bit and I had no trouble opening it accidentally. Ease of use: Installation was easy with the included screwdriver, and the top panel is easy to remove if it's not snapped into place. The drive stays securely inside, doesn't rattle or move. Performance: excellent. The e-SATA connection is incredible. There is…

esata+usb=power adapter is great - but wrong case size

With two top covers, black and silver, I assembled it by cutting the entire top part out of one cover. Then, using silicone sealant, glue another masking over the cutout. My Fujutsu 200GB is thick enough that the top cap doesn't work without this modification. Don't expect it to be easy to disassemble. It works well with USB and eSATA. My eSATA is VERY fast but I can use it on any other computer with USB.

Great Quality Easy Install Good Performance

I originally bought the Rocketfish USB 3.0/2.0 Enclosure as my new Dell XPS 15 has USB 3.0 ports but I found it not to be as fast was as expected. I sent it back and got the eSATA/USB 2.0 version. I used a Hitachi 500GB/7200rpm in both cases and eSATA is slightly better than USB 3.0. When writing to the hard drive, I get over 90MB/s with eSATA versus 70MB/s with USB 3.0. USB 2.0 has always been well below 10 MB/s. I also found the eSATA version worked better with my 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate…

WOW! Hard disk case

I am very satisfied with this product. It was an open box and the box was damaged but the case and all cables looked new and of good quality. There is a backup DVD that needs to be installed if I decide to use it as a backup. I wanted this drive for Esata capabilities. I'm not disappointed, the case is small and I find it to be of good quality, it also comes with a drive case which I like a lot because I can hold the drive better when transporting it, a power cable in case I use an eSATA cable,

The best case for your HD

I have several of these, they are flawless! I upgrade my MacBook about every year and keep my HDs for backups and storage. These cases work perfectly. DO NOT buy them at retail! They cost $60+, no other HD case costs that much, period! Get them online for 10% of the cost. The HD is easy to fit in a case and the heavy-duty security case protects it during transport. Excellent product in all respects and the cheap price they offer online.

Rocketfish SATA HD Enclosure

This is my second in a year - I love building my own storage/backup drives. For those complaining, check out the alternatives, cheap and flimsy! Pros: High quality, easy installation. great value at $13 including shipping (compared to $50+ at Best Buy). Disadvantages: none; For the dissatisfied owner: Don't rely on dual USB, use the included power adapter! Based on the experience with my previous case (1 year old and working well) this should serve me well. In combination with the WD HD it…
