50% defective but when they work they are amazing

Ordered 4 in total 2 were defective but Amazon quickly returned and reshipped. (One didn't have -12V per MB, the other didn't include SATA). Build 4 identical Ryzen 2700X computers using DC power supplies and 12V backup batteries. Very little heat, no noticeable coil squeak. The food looks a bit messy, but the stress test is going well.

Pros
  • Internal power supplies
Cons
  • There are errors

Works great so far, best in computers and accessories

For later reference; The height of the PSU is 30mm measured from the edge of the ATX connector to the top of the board. So far it works well up to 180W. An upgrade to a 320W system is planned later. The cable length is short enough to avoid cable routing problems.

Pros
  • Internal Components
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Great when it works.

The first came with a defect but in working condition it is a fantastic unit. I didn't test to the limits and had a 250w version powering an i7 9900K setup. It has the heat spreaders and HSA cables on the right side to keep the ram out of the way.

  • Computer Components
Cons
  • No.

DOA electronics on internal components

mine was DOA. It only works when the signal pins are connected. Motherboard never turned on. 3 different motherboards to be exact.

Not Enough Power - Internal PSUs

Hewegg.com calculated that my ATX i5 6600K with (2) 8GB DDR4 plus three hard drives requires 227W. So I bought a 250W model and blew it. Knowing I shouldn't have cut it so short, I bought a 450w model, thinking I had enough watts, and installed a 30A fuse to protect it. I turned on the computer and immediately the 30A fuse blew. 30A at 14V (charger on) means I drew 420 watts before the fuse blew. I went back to the 125 volt supply and hooked up my ammeter. Press the button to turn on the…
