Everything is good, but there are flaws.

It perfectly powers my MSI B450i ITX motherboard and is the only PICO power supply with 4+4 CPU socket at the time of publication. Additionally, the cables were long enough to reach while maintaining some cable management. Now for the cons, the power plug is fragile, in fact the first tip I got was broken and it looks like it barely held up to begin with. The 2nd was stolen on delivery (the postman gave me an empty package). The 3rd works, but as the 1st looked, I carefully installed it…

Reliable PSU, but RAM gap can be an issue

As mentioned in every other review, RAM gap is an issue if your ATX connector is on the right side of the board. Even Corsair LPX sticks worked, but the connector was live so I just broke the plastic latch to make room. The connector is still very tight so the clamp isn't needed anyway, but if that's not your thing I'd recommend investing around $6 for a 9-inch. ATX extension cable (startech's cable has proven to be reliable). There was also someone showing temp readings in excess of 100…

Satisfied so far, cautiously optimistic

I bought this device to build a Mini-ITX HTPC in a small Mini-ITX case. The housing is so small that no conventional power supply can be installed in it. I never knew about this style of PSU until I saw it on YouTube. Everything seems to be good in terms of quality. It's spartan. It's just an electronics board. she is short The motherboard I used required low profile RAM to match the power cables of this PSU since it is located in the ATX power connector on your motherboard. It would have been…

Be careful what you order.

If this is your first time using this form factor, here's what's important: It's a 12V DC power supply. It seems to "work" (blue LED on) when you plug in something like 19 volts (i.e. your typical laptop power supply), but you just overload it. Fortunately, the short circuit protection in this device seems to disable the output in this case. So if you plug in the adapter and immediately see the blue LED, check the voltage on the power supply. The LED indicator should only light up when you have

  • Worth the money

  • Infinitely slow

Works well with a small modification.

I've used this in a small HTPC setup and it worked fine. Not sure if I could trust this PSU setup, I checked the voltages with a PSU tester before connecting it to a board. The tensions were stable and exactly as they should have been. The only problem was the orientation of the cable. The device is designed to hardly erase RAM without a heat spreader. I used a utility knife to very carefully trim the plastic clip and some of the excess plastic on the incoming power line connector. I just used…
