Review on πŸ’‘ RGEEK 250W Peak Output 24pin DC ATX PSU, 12V DC Input, Switched DC-DC ATX Pico PSU for Mini ITX PC Power by Shawn Price

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well with a small modification.

I've used this in a small HTPC setup and it worked fine. Not sure if I could trust this PSU setup, I checked the voltages with a PSU tester before connecting it to a board. The tensions were stable and exactly as they should have been. The only problem was the orientation of the cable. The device is designed to hardly erase RAM without a heat spreader. I used a utility knife to very carefully trim the plastic clip and some of the excess plastic on the incoming power line connector. I just used tape to replace the missing clamp. I now have a gap of about 0.5mm above my Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 module (about as little low profile RAM as I could find). Since then it's been working great!

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • repair
