🥊 Advanced Ringside Gel Shock Body Protector for Boxing Review

Ringside is fine but this body armor has served well. I've owned it for almost 3 years and it's still in good condition. The straps have a very large adjustment range. It can be carried by small and large people (350 lbs+).

Exceeded my expectations. Provides coverage around the ribs, high enough to protect my chest, just below my neck. I'm 5ft 9in, 197lbs and getting hit by a 240lb heavyweight. There is pressure but no dull pain.

Worth the price. I am a personal trainer teaching Thai Boxing (Thai Kickboxing) to clients. Customers said it was tough, but I didn't think so when I kicked it. It will soften over time. Offers excellent protection for the user, fits comfortably. I wouldn't spar with him, although that's not the purpose of a body pad. You don't lose a lot of freedom of movement, you just lose some sharpness and speed.

I am writing this review because it is exactly the review I was looking for. I'm 6ft 1in 44in, 42in waist and 250lbs and this fits perfectly. Both of my teenage sons are into martial arts. Good design. The fill is pretty low. If you're used to using impact armor and the like, let me tell you that this body armor has nothing to do with padding. Under no circumstances can he take a direct hit. I feel all the punches, strong. Not fun at all. I think it's good to prevent an accidental bump or two. I bought this on 07/15/2015. I've been using it 3 times a week on average since I've been training professional fighters. I maintain it by cleaning it with a mild soap solution, air drying it and keeping it out of the sun. Until 2 weeks ago I would have given 4 stars.
