Nice but not for me

The patterns are a little too complicated for what I had in mind for my 4 year old. Also only one side of the book is magnetized, so the work space is limited. Overall a cute little book with a few drawbacks but ultimately just not what I had in mind.

Great, but misleading description.

The description of two sets made me think there were two sets each of the book and tantagram pieces, however there's only one book and two sets of pieces. The extra set of pieces is great, and the value for price is fine. I was just expecting two of each for gifting.

Great value on my review.

I bought this for an elderly parent to provide some cognitive stimulation. The design is excellent and has lots of puzzles. Magnetic pieces are great because they store inside of the book and won't fall out. Grateful value because it has two sets of pattern blocks. This allows for competition between two people to complete a puzzle.

Bad spiral binding makes them useless for travel.

These tangrams were pretty hard for my puzzle-loving five year old. The book does not stay flat and open, despite being spiral-bound-- the paper is the wrong size for the spiral binding to work properly. This might sound peevish, but it really defeats the purpose of buying a spiral bound book for travel. A little kid isn't going to be able to hold the book open while working on the tangram with the other hand, not on a plane or in a carseat.It would have been nice if they printed the answers to

Whole family enjoyed this

I bought two of these for my kids for a long car trip over the summer and they were a hit. I also like doing these with the kids as it’s a fun activity.

Exceeds expectations

This affordable set EXCEEDEd my expectations. It is high quality, smart, durable design with an extra set of decent-strength magnets. And there are so many puzzles. I will be interested to see if my 4yo can handle these as I found myself needing to peak at the answers in the back.I expect this will become a mainstay of our travel game kit for years to come.

Travel companion best in my review

I bought this for my kids for a road trip. I went to the hospital and played it for an hour while I was stuck waiting! It’s so fun and surprisingly challenging!
