Very glad I bought it. Works perfectly.

Five months of regular use so far. Works very well for my Subaru SUV with a 2" hitch. The annoying rumble and slight swaying when towing my small boat 2-3 times a week is completely gone. No quality issues or issues at all. Installation was easy with a 9mm socket / 16mm I tried to alternately tightening the screws slightly to keep the U-bolt and its threads "square".

Excellent goods. Relieves confusion.

My bike carrier had play when driving over bumps and sharp curves. This solved the problem. It's relatively easy to install with a 14mm wrench or ratchet. This requires a torque wrench and this is my first time using it. Since I often disassemble the bike rack, I just wiggle it around to get the job done. If I were towing something like a trailer/RV I would definitely tighten it properly just to be on the safe side. Overall I am happy with my purchase as it will last a long time and can be…

Low steel is best for the hitch

First, the item is overpriced (see below). I installed it on a towbar for my Class A motorhome and after about 2 years found it was loose. When I tried to remove one of the locknuts after spraying them with penetrating oil, the bolt twisted, rendering it unusable. The bolt is only 3/8 inch and appears to be mild steel. For this application I think the bolt should be 7/16 inch. Covering nuts and threads with liquid plastic or liquid tape can increase the life of the product. I bought a similar…

Weakness in U-Bolt Material

Hardened Tensile U-Bolt Urgently Needed. Bought to stabilize the bolted connection of a Harbor Freight ATV mounted in the back of a casita trailer for a 12,000 mile trip into the great Alaskan expanses. The porter is rated at 300 pounds and we have capped it at <100 pounds for travel. Though I gave the Casita shocks, the rear end still bounced quite a bit on the rough roads of Alaska and northern Canada. a second set of 40 ft lb nuts to secure the first. It looked great for about 6,000 miles

Great device, but beware of landing problems.

I'll start with an important note: It doesn't fit 2011-2013 (my 2012) Jeep Grand Cherokee is correct. Insufficient clearance between the flange on the coupler pocket and the safety chain dropouts. When installed correctly (there are misleading pictures) the inserted coupler should be pulled down on the crossbar to prevent the coupler from lifting. It can be installed incorrectly so that the clutch pulls up, but then all the load and weight of the tongue falls on the silent clutch. Strictly…
