Extension Beast

It's a beast. The only drop/lift clutch extension I could find is actually rated for pull. Just the right length, 2 inches, to fold Curt's curved cargo basket under a Wrangler spare tire with Tyger hitch. Although it costs almost the same as a cargo basket I am very happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Long wait

Well made and a perfect fit

I recently bought a cheaper one and was very disappointed with the quality and durability of the product. However, this one did not disappoint. Well made, durable material, no rattling, good paint finish. Paid a little more but it's worth it. We use it to connect our TOAD to the motorhome and also use our bike rack in the top receiver.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • To old

exceeds expectations

I was sure after reading the reviews that there would be a problem with the landing. Maybe my old hitch got bigger, or it actually got bigger by using and abusing it and the truck instead of just trying to impress everyone. This recipient went straight in and accepted the Smittybuilt stand with no problem. It is very strong and should match my trailer winch. Will be updated after intensive use!

Pros
  • although everyone likes it
Cons
  • old

This hook is amazing. I use it to tow the car.

This towbar is great. I use it to tow a car and have a luggage rack over the tongue of the tongue. I had to modify the strut mount because my tow truck has impulse brakes (non-electric) and that required extra clearance. After modifying the rack I added 3 anti-vibration mechanisms and they all worked very well together. Just got back from a hike, towed the car and put the generator on the luggage rack and everything worked out very well. :))

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Transparency

Great for an extra bike rack for your camper van

I needed a receiver for my bike rack for the back of my camper van as I was tired of that rear of my cars. According to research, it's the only one with a towing capacity over 4,000 pounds. The towing capacity of this dual receiver is 10,000 pounds. As my car weighs over 4700 pounds. Now I'm sure it won't break / fall apart while driving on the road. It may cost more than others, but the towing capacity and safety make it worth it.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Very well built! suitable for towing groceries and winch

I bought this because I needed to get rid of the square tube receiver on the camper, it wasn't strong enough (square tube what is). So it's very well built, some might say it's rebuilt, but Roadmaster makes a lot of tractors so I expected it to be solid. I needed a 2" drop to align the toad hitch, as well as a bike rack receiver strong enough to hold e-bikes (65 pounds each), and it certainly fits the bill. Rated at 10,000 pounds it's overkill as my toad only weighs 4,200 pounds but bigger is…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Roadmaster (077-4 dual clutch receiver

This is a Roadmaster product so you know it is a quality product. You measure to see if the fiberglass cap interferes. If the Hub too high can have interference and the solution is to add an extension, in my case I went for the 4" riser version and I had a 1/4" gap so it was good and I had to do not buy an extension as this product can already be extended by 10" with the original coupling.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • not as good as it says
