The bag that saves Thanksgiving.

Wanted to try a new way of cooking poultry this year. I placed an order and the bags arrived in time to salt my 16lb bird. I had more than enough room for the bird and the mortar. Everything was perfect. No fuss, no mess. Thank you for your help this Thanksgiving.

Big and strong: Special equipment

I use these bags to protect silver and silver items from tarnishing. I've passed down a few pieces from my family and polishing them has always been a chore when air and moisture dull them. Keeping items in a ziplock bag and expelling air will prevent them from tarnishing. Most ziplock bags are too small for candle holders and serving platters, but these are large enough. I can pass the silver on to my grandchildren in excellent condition.

Too thin for vacuum bags

These are large bags but they are so thin I am afraid to use them for their intended purpose. When I fill them, they burst. You are very thin. I thought I was reading heavy materials so I expected them to be as thick as a zipper, but they are more like flimsy regular sawmill films with tiny/thin seams and a zipper, less secure than a cheap sandwich bag. If they were the size of a sandwich, I wouldn't trust them with a sandwich or a carrot. Extremely disappointed. Feel the wrong direction

Worked well!: Vacuum bags

I bought these bags so I don't have to crumple my freshly ironed jacket when I travel and to check my luggage before the flight. I saw this trick on YouTube. Place the carefully folded garments in a resealable bag, fill the bag with air and seal. This provides a little cushion around your clothing to keep it from wrinkling from compression during flight. Although the bag was flat when unpacked, my jacket wasn't wrinkled. I think the bag made it.

It can't be that this bag is 2m thick. Do not buy food for pickling or salting.

These 5 gallon bags (sizes not specified) were purchased to salt a large turkey or marinate large cuts of meat. Advertised as 2m thick, which is very convenient for pickling or pickling. .Hefty makes a huge storage bag with a 2.5 gallon capacity and 3 feet thick. I needed a bigger bag and to my surprise; The 5 gallon bags I bought that are advertised as 2m thick are thinner than the hefty 0.9 gauge hefty bags.
