🧹 Roberts Carpet Rake and Groomer: 70-127-3 Review

BEWARE! This thing tore up our new shaggy carpets. The small sharp teeth actually dig into the individual fibers of the rug and tear them apart, leaving our once beautiful rugs looking frizzy and older than their years.

I ordered Revain and asked my wife if she needed anything, she said we need a carpet rake? I told her it wasn't funny and that I wouldn't fall for the joke. She wasn't kidding, she showed me this, I don't think it was a joke so I bought this, now I have to rake the carpet, luckily the thing works as intended. My carpets are now raked

Works well, I notice a big difference in how much dog hair is removed from the carpet when I vacuum or shampoo my hair. The only thing that confuses me is that the teeth on the steering rack are sometimes "colorful" but they reset easily. This is definitely a good buy for the price and a must have if you have a long haired dog that sheds!

I have an ultra plush Safavieh Shaggy rug, a rake was just what I needed to fix the rug. The design of the rake turned out to be not the greatest simply because the attachment handle can be easily moved apart. But the teeth for the rake are perfect. Tips for Shag: Do not rake the carpet harshly. You must "pick up the afro" the rug, followed by a gentle and formal raking motion.

I used it 4 times and it fell apart. Apparently the only thing holding the piece to the bristles is a tiny metal pin. The needle came out and all the bristles scattered everywhere. The bristles simply rest on the part that holds them. Retrieving or sending back doesn't work as I can't find all the bristles. QEP tools please stop trading junk on Revain.

So the first one I ordered, the bristles fell apart on the 3rd use. The problem is how it's set up. You use two clamps to hold the assembly together. I sent the first one back and got the second one. Put two screws in the head this time to keep it from falling apart. Now it's solid and works great. There's no reason the company couldn't do this and come out with a good product.

Although the item itself is not designed to last a long time like say 10 years, it is well constructed. I really like the calculator head, I would happily buy more to replace it. I really love this rack. This applies to a pile rug or low rug, but not to a pile rug. For a pile carpet you need wider bristles. Durable plastic bristles.
