The reamer suffices in my opinion, except it definitely doesn't have a square end/bottom as pictured. It actually has a very large taper, like 10mm or so.

Used to use directional valves on Moto Guzzi 850 heads. I've mostly done it by hand, but it does a great job on a drill press.

I am learning to make custom bearings from UHMWPE and other plastics. That was the trick. Drilling and then reaming with this tool gave me the perfect DIY bearings.

The reamer arrived covered in rust. Dimensionally, it's pretty accurate; I have repeatedly measured 0.315 inches (8.001mm) with a micrometer. As I plan to use it in plastic and possibly aluminum I hope it still works. For the price I didn't expect the highest quality. but I definitely expected more than what I got. I was going to give it, wanted to give it one star at first but reluctantly gave it two just because it's the right size and it's cheap.

It's cheap and it works. I use it to drill 8mm rod holes in 3D printed plastic parts. It's great for that, the holes are the right size after use. A small point I didn't know about until I got the sweep. The end is tapered the first 9mm or so which means you can't ream to the bottom of the bottom hole. I was expecting a taper but not a 9mm length. I'm still very happy with the purchase, I just had to change one of my parts a bit to accommodate this sweep characteristic.
