I bought this for a specific purpose, which was to keep track of multiple tasks while working in a noisy machine shop with an average ambient noise level of 65-80dB. He is very well suited for this role. I can even hear it 30-40 feet away through the noise. Pros: Loud sound, visual alerts for alarm status, dual clock. Easily set the time quickly, with a memory function to remember last use. Cons: It's easy to accidentally turn on or off the wrong timer.

Generally a good timer with good qualities. However, it emits a constant high-pitched squeal reminiscent of tinnitus. My hearing isn't perfect so it wouldn't be a problem if it was just me because I have to be close to him to hear him. However, the rest of my family hears it every time they walk through the kitchen and because they find it so annoying I'm bringing it back.
