Only lasted two months

My 1994 Bridgestone bike. When my 24 year old pedals broke I replaced them with these. These pedals are very grippy and look very cool. after only two months they broke while riding uphill. I commute about 20km a week to and from work. There were no crazy off-road rides or accidents. According to the Rock Bros website, the warranty is only one month. I was disappointed and regret not having invested in something better.

Broken and injured leg.

UPDATE November 6, 2020 I fell from a small fall (about 2ft) on a slope and broke my left pedal. Hurts your leg a lot. Don't think I broke my leg, but my god, that's really smart. Anyway, I wrote a letter to the manufacturer. I was kinda hoping they would at least provide some support but I won't hold my breath. I mainly ride cross country with very few jumps. My average ride has about 1 jump every 10 miles. So I'm very disappointed that they broke down like that after about 5-600 miles of…

Great pedals so far.

I have a similar set of pedals (Raceface Chesters) for my trail bike. These RockBros pedals are very similar in looks and quality but cost half the price. I put these on my general purpose road/commuter bike about a week ago. So far no problems. They are lightweight and have excellent traction when worn with proper shoes designed for flat pedaling. I will update this review after a month or two of use. Update 11/21/18: These pedals still work great after moderate use. The white lettering on the

Click, click, click.

I don't know how to describe it other than the bearing feels like it has a notch. With every turn of the crank, there was a moment when I felt a strong click, like I was rolling down a step. It was so annoying and distracting that I couldn't use it. The first pair had this problem within the first five miles. I sent them back thinking they were defective and ordered them as a replacement. The second pair developed this problem within two miles. I concluded it must be a design flaw and ordered a

Great grip and great price

These pedals are very cute. Lightweight with great grip right out of the box. The pins are very sharp, time will tell how long it lasts. There are a few spares in the box and I haven't noticed any slippage at all, even in muddy conditions. I'm glad I bought these instead of the Chester and saved some money for a very similar pedal. UPDATE: It's been 7 months of riding in all weather and conditions and these pedals still work perfectly and the amazing clutch has held up with no missing pins. I…

Generally satisfied, cleats are rusty

I am very satisfied with these pedals, especially given their low price. I'm 200 pounds and they've held up well, mostly on the flat Florida dirt roads. My only complaint is that the black spikes quickly began to corrode. I got caught in the rain a couple of times and sometimes water splashed on the track. I keep my bike in good condition and wipe it down. Since no other surface corrosion had occurred on other parts for a number of years, the bolts on these pedals showed corrosion after just a…

The best pedals for commuting.

I like this pedal a lot. First, its color matches that of my 2002 Giant Rincon, which has over 35,000 miles under its belt. The bike has become noticeably nicer. The second part is that the support it provides is much better than my old metal pedal as it is much wider and the power transfer from my feet to the cranks is much more efficient. The lighter weight is also a welcome feature as I already haul loads on my daily commute. Finally, the grip this pedal offers creates more confidence when…

The bearings are much better than expected.

Chose composites on the advice of a friend who said he had less trouble with plastic than metal in the cold. Let's see how well they stand up to our cold Canadian winter! Before purchasing I was a bit worried about the quality of the bearings but was very pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Smooth-running, no play, very pleasant feel - no notches and hooks. I was also impressed by their low weight. I don't use clips in the summer and these pedals aren't much heavier than my SPD. Speaking of
