This is the second set of pedals I've purchased from Rock Bros, the first set I installed on my Giant Rainer and the second set I just installed on my Trek Singletrack. Both bikes are designed for downhill. Since I don't like single track clipons, I needed a big, grippy pedal. These fit the bill! Cheaper than other well-known brands, but no less good. So far they're pretty good. I've had them four times on single tracks. It takes a few miles for them to spin freely, although they've never had a problem. I suspect they won't last long. Aluminum is light but weak against rocks. Here in Colorado we ride some pretty rocky trails and the gear takes a beating. I suspect I would buy them again. My only criticism of the design is that they could have used a few more touch points. If you don't wear velcro, you'll have to shop a little more. UPDATE…

I've been wearing these pedals for about a month and have put about 300 miles on the road. They are grippy and let me pedal almost the same as with clip-ons. However, I had a rather minor accident and bent my left pedal quite a bit. I managed to roll it back a bit but as it was still compromised I emailed the sales rep and got a quick response that they would ship a new pedal out ASAP for free!
